Movie Review : The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects is a suspense thriller that takes place in America. Story begins when somebody somewhere hijack a truck load of guns and explosives. The usual suspects are rounded up by the police.

The usual suspect consists of criminals and those who were crimnals and wants to lead a normal life. A few days after their interrogation a fire kills all four of the 5 suspects. Cops interrogates the fifth person to find the truth behind their death and unravels mysteries about a mastermind who has pupeteered their death.

Even though the movie is slow and boring in the begginning the climax of the movie is simply mindblowing.

It's a mustwatch and I rate it a 4/5.

I didn't know I loved her this deeply.

Yesterday my roommate Vivek pulled a prank on me and made me unconscious. He didn't tell me what he was going to do. He asked me to co-operate with him to do some sort of trick. I agreed as I trusted him and knowing that he'll never put me in harms way.

He asked me to take some deep breaths and then when he ordered I took a deep breadth and held it in my lungs. He then held my neck in his hands and firmly squeezed it in a way that I didn't choke.

The next thing I remember is I am waking up from the bed and my visibility increasing from utter darkness. It was a blackout and while waking up I had nothing but one name in my mind and that was Subha. I still don't remember what I thought about her, I didn't know who she was and I didn't even know who I am or where was I.

My friend Vivek later explained to me what actually happened. He asked me to take a deep breath and hold it in my lungs. Then he squeezed the main arteries and veins that circulate blood to my brain. He held me like that for 10 seconds and during that time I involuntarily released the air I was holding inside and the brain did not have any oxygen to function for some seconds and the result I went unconscious and my subconscious mind took over. I fell to the bed and shivered like I suffered from epilepsy. Then Vivek slapped me and brought me back to consciousness.

But the fact that I think about Subha even in my subconscious mind that made me happy even though I realised this some hours later the event had taken place. I miss her badly. I didn't know I love her this much that I think of her in my subconsciousness. I'm still in love with her and forever will be. I am so in love with her.

Review : Kurukshetra

As planned most of the bULLS and cOWS got together at KR BAKERS and had a wonderful time and after the cOWS left the bULLS had a plan of going for the movie KURUKSHETRA running in a Jyothi Theater behind KR BAKERS.

After the cOWS left we paid the bill in KR and we all left to Visal's house. KD went to his house and Manu went to Kalamassery to drop his Mom and Sis (actually they dropped Manu as soon as his Dad came). I went and picked him from Kalamassery in ma bike.

We reached the theater just in time and all others (Visal, KD, Paaru, Suraj, Hari and Arun)  were already in the theater. We took our seats and film began. We started by drinking a Frooti.

The beggining was awesome the way the names of the crew are shown and other stuff was excellent. During this time some of our friends Balamurali and his relatives and Deepak G joined us. The film then started to get boring and boring and  suddenly we saw a Dogfight of an F-12 US trying to evade a SAM (Surface-to Air Missile) caught our attention and we suddenly got it that the scenes are copy-pasted  from the Hollywood Movie Behind Enimy Lines.

Even though there are many war scenes we dont actually get who is fighting who. Some times we even crave to get a sight of PAK soldiers. The villian is superb. The action is good. There are a lot of running around and firing shells but these things donot relate with each other so during rare occassions we wont know whats happening.

The climax is powerful and breathtaking. The duell between Mohanlal and the villian is amazing. The way each punch is being delivered and recieved by the villian and the action sequences in between are adrinalin pumping.

Overall I give a 2/5 rating for the filim.

The news is hot, Yamaha is here with another of its great bike to rock the Indian market. The launch of the new Yamaha FZ 16 right after a few months of R15 is a sure Indication that Yamaha is very serious. In this preview, I have written a brief description of all the features of this bike..

Yamaha FZ-16 mobike is set to take the generation next by storm with several unique features, while the basic design is adopted from earlier series of FZ, though. With its diamond-shaped frame, this mobike is different with its killer-like looks and originality. It can really snatch away second glance from every person on the road.

The craftsmanship and engineering feat of Yamaha is revealed as you take a close look at the minute details of the vehicle, if I have to say it’s crafted to perfection.,..!!!

Headlight: The multi-reflector headlight with transparent lens on the front side provides with perfect illumination.

Dashboard: Yamaha FZ-16 sports fully digital speedometer and all other measuring indicators including the odometer, fuel gauge and the tachometer that have a characteristic of Liquid Crystal Display for clearer vision.

Tyres: Both, rear and front end tyres are tubeless with rear-end tyre having aspect ratio of 60 per cent. The advantage of tubeless tyres are, on being punctured it is less susceptible on getting flattened (I assume you know it also reduces the kerb weight of the bike as well). Yamaha FZ-16 has the fattest rear-end tyre with specifications as 140/60-R17, while that of the front tyre is 100/60-17. Which means the balance is perfect!

Once upon a time, there was a software engineer who used to develop programs on his Pentium machine, sitting under a tree on the banks of a river. He used to earn his bread by selling those programs in the Sunday market.One day, while he was working, his machine tumbled off the table and fell in the river. Encouraged by the Panchatantra story of his childhood (the woodcutter and the axe), he started praying to the River Goddess. The River Goddess wanted to test him and so appeared only after one month of rigorous prayers. The engineer told her that he had lost his computer in the river. As usual, the Goddess wanted to test his honesty. She showed him a match box and asked, "Is this your computer ?" Disappointed by the Goddess' lack of computer awareness, the engineer replied, "No."She next showed him a pocket-sized calculator and asked if that was his.Annoyed, the engineer said "No, not at all!!"Finally, she came up with his own Pentium machine and asked if it was his.The engineer, left with no option, sighed and said "Yes."The River Goddess was happy with his honesty. She was about to give him all three items, but before she could make the offer, the engineer asked her, "Don't you know that you're supposed to show me some better computers before bringing up my own ?"The River Goddess, angered at this, replied, "I know that, you stupid donkey! The first two things I showed you were the Trillennium and the Billennium, the latest computers from IBM !". So saying, she disappeared with the Pentium!!********

Friendship Day

To celebrate friendship day we waged war against each other.

Just kidding.

Since today our thanku(Oppol's daughter ) is having her chorunu, we decided to celebrate friendship day a day earlier and we did it in my house. The bULLS( Visal, Vishnu, Aswin, Paaru, Manu, KD, Suraj and me) got together and decided to watch Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na in Manjusha Theater, Kalady.

Everyone came to ma house around 4.30 pm and we decided to start the movie and right after 15 mins we all started talking to each other and lost our interest in the movie as Manu, Suraj, KD and me had seen the movie before. So in the end Paaru was the only one watchin the movie.

As we started talking Visal started showing his newly attained flexibility and started showing some new and funny body postures. This then lead to a food fight and was hell a lot of fun after a long time in ma life.

After this we all wished Happy Friendship Day and hugged each other and went back to our respective homes at 7.30pm.

Me lookin forward to more get together like this. Miss you all already.

Microsoft Surface

Surface is essentially a Windows Vista PC tucked inside a table, topped with a 30-inch reflective surface in a clear acrylic frame. A projector underneath the surface projects an image onto its underside, while five cameras in the machine's housing record reflections of infrared light from human fingertips. The camera can also recognize objects placed on the surface if those objects have specially-designed "tags" applied to them. Users can interact with the machine by touching or dragging their fingertips and objects such as paintbrushes across the screen, or by placing and moving tagged objects.

Surface has been optimized to respond to 52 touches at a time. During a demonstration with a reporter, Mark Bolger, the Surface Computing group's marketing director, "dipped" his finger in an on-screen paint palette, then dragged it across the screen to draw a smiley face. Then he used all 10 fingers at once to give the face a full head of hair.

Using the specially-designed "tags" on objects, Microsoft Surface can automatically offer additional wine choices tailored to the dinner being eaten based on the type of wine set on the Surface.

Prices will reportedly be $5,000 to $10,000 per unit. Microsoft said it expects prices to drop enough to make consumer versions feasible in 2010.

Partner companies plan to use the Surface in their hotels, restaurants, and retail stores. The Surface is to be used to choose meals at restaurants, plan vacations and spots to visit from the hotel room. Starwood Hotels plan to allow users to drop a credit card on the table to pay for music, books, and other amenities offered at the resort. In AT&T stores use of the Surface include interactive presentations of plans, coverage, and phone features, in addition to dropping two different phones on the table and having the customer be able to view and compare prices, features, and plans.

Classes started.

Till yesterday I didn't want to go to college but today it all changed.

Even though me and ma classmate Nithin took off from ma home as early as 7:30 we couldn't get past the traffic jams at Alwaye in time. We reached college by 8:40. Since we are late we will have to pay a fine of Rs. 100. So we decided not to go to our classes till the first hour is over. We went to ma new hostel room rested a few minutes there. Then we went to Nithin's hostel room and rested a few minutes there. The time was almost 9:15 and we were sending sms to our classmates in class and getting regular updates of what's going in our class.

Then we decided to go in at 9:25. We got in and met Vinod Kumar he was our HOD in last year got little scoldings but we apologized and everything went fine. As we got near the class we saw a teacher waiting outside it. We talked to her and she asked us to get in the class as the teacher inside is just taking the attendance. I told her that we dont deserve the attendance as we couldn't make it in time. Well it turns out that she was our class teacher and we made a good first impression on her.

When we were just about to head into the class another teacher cathches us and it turns out she is HOD of IT section. Well we got into class and the hour is Programming in C. Well you know me, C and me are very close. So naturally njaan missine chaakkilakki. That to in just 2 hours.

The classes are going in a slow mood. I slept in class for two hours. And again we had a free period and went to library.

I got results next day itself.

bULLS AT THE WORLD's END__ NELLIYAMPATHY

Hai allllll,
There had been many obstacles to make the Nelliyampathy trip happen.
Problem 1: Some of the bULLS got back from the trip. That made hurts in many hearts. We all did reach a position to drop the idea of tour. But Makku came as an uplifter. He did overdrive the situation and again brought us back to the mood.
Hari booked a tempo traveler with the help of Carlos chettan. The rate was affordable. We all planned to increase the number of guys for the tour. For that we decided to invite friends beyond the boundary of CYbER bULLS. We called Paulose, Arun Vishnu, Jithu, etc for the tour. Carlos chettan also had expressed his pleasure in coming with us. Aswin.te veetl ichiri problem undayirunnu but we over powered it. In the end the list for tour was finalized as follows. Parthiv, Manu, Makku, Visal, Aswin, KD, Hari, Arun Vishnu. We sheduled our trip commencing on 27th.

Problem 2: We all had planned a get together in 27th morning and after that we would go for the tour. Just before the D-day Hari dropped from the list. One of his relative died which forced him back from tour. In addition, we all came to know that the van which we booked met with an accident in Bengaluru. Thus we had to postpone our trip. Next day, on 27th as per the plan we all met in Royal Bakers. Some of the cows were also there. We also planned our tour sitting there. We all went back home. But next day I went to ma uncle's home. Ma parents asked me to do so. Everyone except me set from Perumbavoor(28-06-08) in an all new Scorpio. Njangal poya SCORPIO
They went to CITY CENTER Thrissur. On the way they also Went to PEECHI DAM. They all had a nice time there.The Peechi dam "Hangout"


Afterwards they came to Nenmara. I some how managed to get permission to go to Nenmara from ma uncle's home in Palakkad. Ma uncle offered to take me to Nenmara. He came with me till Nenmara. We all met there and went to the hotel.

The Hotel named the HOST International was a three star hotel. We took two double rooms. We all blasted in the hotel [to the extreme end]. After some time we went outside to have food. On the way back we brought few decks of cards. In the hotel we spent time playing cards. surprisingly unlike other over night hangouts, this time everyone was sleepy by 11.30-12. Most of us went to bed with their phones. Extra beds were provided since we were more in number. We do woke up during night and watched TV. But din't stay long. Next day we woke up and did all primary things. Packed up every thing and went down to settle the hotel billThe Hotel Bill


We left the hotel by 9.30am(29-06-08). We din't have food from Nenmara as the food was not safe. There was flu all around. But that idea was a great flop as we din't find any hotel till Nelliyampathy. The journey to Nelliyampathy starts from the Pothundy dam. There is a forest check post, from there starts the long winding roads to Nelliyampathy. We took few photos and prepared to go through all twists and turns.

All the way was worth seeing. With many streams falling down the mountain like silver "aranjanam". We stopped at some places for photo sessions.On RoadThe whole Gang

Fog around us
As we reached heights fog ran all around us which was a very spectacular view. We couldn't even see the road in front of us. We took videos. By 11 we reached the nelliyampathy base. We had food from a small hotel(Hotel Surya). From there we hired a 4WD Mahindra Jeep to climb Mampara hills. It just cost round 500. This was the most exciting part of the journey. Since it was rainy season ,the road was full of mud. The jeep driver(Drifter) was actually not driving, He was drifting the jeep all the way up. Even though we had little fear, but we continued our journey. At steep roads we got down from jeep, so as to avoid "koota nilavili". There is practically no road there. the jeep is simply going over the rock and mud. We reached on top of the Mambra. we couldn't take breath for a moment. We stayed there for sometime. Afterwards the jeep driver told us that our time was up. Manasillamanasode we climbed down the hill. The interesting thing on way down was the rain. Rain inside forest gives us a feeling in ghost films. Just before the rain comes ,the fog rushes in as though its coming to swallow us. On the way down we played Anthakshari. Ho horrible. Songs were sung but the lyrics was like booze songs. Kore kazhinjappo jeep driver (drifter) chetanum koodi njangade koode paatu paranju tharan.

Reaching down we went to Seetharkund, but din't climb there as there was rain. Then we went to Keshavanpara. there was little rain but we din mind it. there was fog all around. we could only see a white colour around us. Up next came a small wind. Ente ponno, that wind cleared the fog around and there appeared a mountain. sometime later that was gone. Then came wind in another direction, there appeared another mountain. We felt as though we are in a dream land, and someone else was remote controlling our surroundings. We took few photos and came down.Keshavanpara
We then decided to go home. And bid goodbye to Nelliyampathy. They say Nelliyampathy is poor man's Ooty. But actually Nelliyampathy is more than that. But developments will make that place worse. I pray not to develop that Mambra off road. If that happens, the exotic beauty of that heaven will be lost. another thing, there is no range for all mobile companys except for BSNL. So we will surely be in a world without rings, and urgent calls.

On the way back we had food from Vadakkenchery. by 6pm we left the hotel. Pinne ingottu NH-47.il koodi oru parakkal. Reached angamaly by 7.45 and Kalady by 8.pm. Makku and Aswin got down there. We reached Perumbavoor by 8.15pm. Settled the Scorpio's bill.,and bid goodbye to Sabu chettan. Pinne Bus pidichu Veedethi. another fact is that the tour was so lite and we din't feel any tiredness.

Anagne ellam kazhinju veetil vannirunnu njan the previous month recollect cheithu. Problems come from everywhere, all we need is to have a mind to do the work. If we have real interest we all can overcome the problems even in the last second.
